Play it cool this Spring/Summer ’20 season with a dose of violet hues, guaranteed to lift your mood! Inject a pop of purple into your Spring wardrobe for a refreshing re-start, or dip your toes in sorbet shades and fuchsia pink to make you smile.
In this week’s blogpost, I’ve put together a fresh minimal look with a pop of colour, oozing a free spirit vibe. Steering away from a traditional ‘occasion’ look, this outfit doesn’t come with any restrictions or rules.
The raw combination of flowy Summer fabrics paired with striking violet purple is what makes this look undeniably undefined.Alongside neon shades/sorbet palettes and pink hues, purple is equally having a moment.
Surprisingly simple to work into your wardrobe, violet is a great alternative to fuchsia pink and not over the top feminine but rather cool chic. When looking to invest in trend pieces start in small doses then work your way into bold options.
A cropped top or blouse is often a great starting point and while it plays it on the safe side it can equally pass for an insta #ootd.Next, introduce a pair of high-waisted pants, not only a tran-seasonal must-have but a wardrobe staple!
The pants that I am wearing are available from new season Zara. Opting for a nude beige shade, it allows existing pieces in my wardrobe to be teamed very easily. The high-waist and draw string waist makes these pants incredibly comfortable to wear and can be dressed up or down.
Steer away from black when your wearing bright colours, as black will likely overpower whilst lighter shades will compliment.
Elevate your look with a pair of sky-high wedges and bold accessories. I opted to pair this Mimco long line necklace and slim line cuffs for a touch of glam and added a Summer wedge for a slightly dressed up look.
Feel free to add lace up sandals with this look or go barefoot if on the beach. Keep your Spring wardrobe bright and uplifting indulging in only mood enhancing colours!
