In the midst of a pandemic there is something uplifting and inspiring about the colour pink. Combined with an adolescence vibe whilst evoking the inner child/teen within, this bright hue is here to stay for the next season.
From pastel pink shades, to vibrant fuchsia hues pink is once again having a moment! Taking it one step further for Spring, it’s all about pairing pink shades with floral prints.
Whilst florals are synonymous with Spring (not necessarily “groundbreaking”according to Miranda Priestly) however when paired with a bright fuchsia pink it’s anything but boring!
In this week’s blogpost I’ve put together a Spring look that will take you from lunch to high-tea and anything fabulous in-between. Pleated skirts are back in full force for another season, proving more than just a one season wonder, this versatile piece is soon going to earn the label of wardrobe staple.
With brighter vibrant shades dominating this season, I opted for a bright pink pleated skirt (available from new season H & M) You will likely notice many boutiques are stocked with pleated skirts and you can easily pick one up without breaking the bank. High in style and a fast track to an insta-worthy #ootd moment, the pleated skirt ticks all the boxes
Next I opted to introduce floral accents to my outfit and chose this floral pink wrap around cropped top for a pop of flower power!
Whilst florals aren’t the easiest of prints to work into your wardrobe, a top is the perfect starting point. The floral print itself is very busy, bold and designed to make an impact so chose pieces that will compliment your existing basics.
Switch up your street kicks, for a pair of Spring wedges. A good pair of heels/wedges will take your look from casual to fabulous instantly! More often than not, sneakers would be my go-to option with a pleated skirt, however I wanted to add a touch of glam to the outfit.
Finish off your look with light tan accessories and keep jewellery minimal. The next time you’re looking to bring your wardrobe into Spring just think Pink!
