In the knit of it

Cosy nights, red wine by the fireplace and indulgent desserts..it’s officially Winter! Goodbye to the midi skirts and lightweight layers, it’s hello to plush knitwear!

In the season of freezing temps it’s the cashmere esque knitwear that will have your back! While running the risk of being labelled ‘boring’ like it or not knitwear is a Winter essential that we can’t live without!

In this week’s blogpost, I’ve put an edgy spin on a traditional knitwear sweater by teaming it with relaxed basics. (I promise you won’t look like you’ve left the house in your mink!) To Recreate this look, start with a pair of jogger style pants.

An edgy alternative to denim jeans, the jogger style pant screams laid back yet fashion-forward. The pants that I am wearing are available from Witchery, they are a coated denim jogger style with draw string waist and scrunchie hems.

The relaxed style of pant allows for multiple outfit combinations with a versatility that can take you from day to night. Next opt for a knitwear sweater to elevate your wardrobe and outfit.

The sweater that I am wearing is available from H & M. The soft beige cropped sweater is perfect for giving enough edge yet doesn’t over power or look like you have stepped out of the house wearing a blanket.

Low end pieces teamed with high end accessories make for a killa combination. While cashmere might just be out of the budget H & M offer a great range of plush knitwear pieces that will have you feeling like your wearing cashmere! Finish your look off with a pair of military inspired biker boots to compliment your look.

Biker boots ruled in 2019 with chunkier shapes and bold buckles dominating in design, however in 2020 it’s all about the overall sleek shape of the boots and a more polished finish.

The boots that I am wearing are from Kurt Geiger (Carvela). Next to sneakers these boots come packed with a whole lot of attitude and a bonus elevation in height. Just think in the heart of Winter when its pouring these boots will be your best friend.

Winter dressing isn’t complicated it just requires a few tips and tricks to ensure your look is on-trend all the whilst staying warm in the coldest months of the year.
