Wild for Zebra

Loud in design, high in style and not for the faint hearted..Zebra print is the new leopard print! The international street style scene has begun to resemble an actual zoo with eccentric aimal print everywhere.

This underated trend might be second to leopard however with splashes of zebra infiltrating the street scenes its time to embrace something a little more wild,in it’s full throttle ferocity.

In this week’s blog post, I’ve put together a fresh chic look centred around zebra print. When working any bold statement piece of clothing into your wardrobe, look to your basics to cement your look together.

While leopard print will always have a place in your wardrobe, zebra print might take a little bit more getting used to, yet once you have mastered it, you will fast admire it for the versatility it provides.

The pants that I am wearing are available from new season H & M (instore Perth boutiques). The pants feature a high- elasticed waist and flow to a slight flare.High in comfort and style, these pants are the type you want with you all day. Crafted from a light viscose fabric they offer a relaxed casual finish/look.Keeping with a minimalist theme, I opted to team a white off the shoulder top with the pants which picks up the white detail in the pants.

White is a fresh safe alternative to black and provides more versatility to the look. Granted, with animal prints its usually the basic colours and tops that are always going to compliment the prints best. For a slightly more casual look you can always team a print tee for street style, and a pair of sneakers.Keep your accessories simple, yet aim for high in style. For the purposes of this look I opted to team an open toed heeled shoe with my outfit, which provides extra height allowing the pants to flow.

These taupe open toed mules have been in my wardrobe longer than I care to admit..yet teamed underneath a wide-leg pant such as these, work so well! For a edgy twist try teaming a white sneaker with these zebra print pants.

Introduce a pop of tan and a statement pair of shades and your look is complete!Remember Zebra print is about as bout as bold as they come, so turn to your unfiorm colours when teaming tops against this print, nail the basics and the pants do all the work for you.
