Fancy a tropical change in your wardrobe, perhaps a bold alternative to set the tone for your Spring wardrobe, then look no further, printed tropical green culottes will instantly elevate your look into the new season.
In this week’s blogpost I have put together this easy on-trend look that will take you from a long table lunch to High-Tea and everything in-between. Trending on the theme of bold and bright, nothing less will settle for your Spring wardrobe.
When working bold prints into your wardrobe it can present quite the challenge, especially compared to a minimalist colour palette which has likely dominated our wardrobes for the past three seasons plus!
Hence why for the sake of this week’s look, I have kept it fairly accessible and stayed with basics to keep the look easy to wear.Culottes are once again having their moment, and while we see them come in and out of season they have been slowly but surely cementing their place next to boyfriend jeans.
This pair of culottes that I am wearing is available from Dotti and feature an elastic waist, crepe fabric and a jade tropical print.
The crepe fabric makes the culottes extra comfortable to wear and an elastic waist band ensures you can literally wear these all day too (without suffering)! While the Spring season has officially arrived it isn’t quite in full force, plus or minus a few rainy cold days still.
For the purpose of this look and season, I opted to team this black basic knit top with the culottes. When still in the infant stages of Spring, it pays to have a good selection of basics on hand to team with the brighter pieces.
The simplicity of the knit didn’t clash with the culottes and rather compliment the outfit. When choosing tops to team with printed pants it’s quite ok to play it safe and turn to your basics.
When it comes to your accessories it pays to keep it interesting and introduce a pop of colour that will work with your look. Rose-gold is always a good idea when coordinating brights, as it just has this subtle innate ability to work so effortlessly in with your outfit and still provide that pop of glam colour.
Rather than a bold statement long line necklace, I opted for this shorter piece which suited the neckline of the knit top.Look to team a clutch with your outfit as it makes for a great option when dressing up a look and doesn’t interfere with the outfit either.
Team a pair of black patent sandals for a chic look, plus sandals will give your look at Spring edge and work great with the flowy style of pants.. The pants allow for a range of shoes and styles and just depends or to reflect the occasion that you want to wear them.
Printed pants are sure to make a statement however teamed with basics makes them accessible and a fresh wardrobe change.
