From Bubblegum brights to magenta hues and pastel shades, its time to start thinking pink! Pink is officially having a moment and if the neon greens and oranges are too bright for you then try your hand at pink. The oh so feminine flirty shade is back for the Spring/Summer season and it’s time to embrace it at its core.
The essence of Spring is suitably bright, however this season it’s exceptionally bright with an array of neon shades gracing the runways.
In a complete 360 degree from Winter, it’s time to shift your mindset into bright and abandon the minimalist colour palette which once dominated our wardrobes.
In this week’s blogpost I have put together a chic look to wear right now that will have you turning heads for all the right reasons!
Turn up to your next occasion in brights and soon people will be following your lead! When piecing a look together centred around a bright piece, it pays to coordinate complimenting pieces to execute the look.
Firstly starting with the pants, this particular pair is by Wayne Cooper sold and stocked by Myer. The feature a concealed zip fly, functional pockets, belts loops, and offer a high-waist with slim fit.
You may have noticed hints and splashes of pink popping everywhere, boutiques such as Bardot and Country Road all currently have a great selection of pink pieces available.
The smart finish on these pants ensure for a chic modern look which can be easily dressed up or down depending on the occasion.
For the purpose of this look, I wanted to keep it super on-trend, so I opted to team this snakeskin print-shirt (available from H & M) with the pants.
The neutral subtle tones compliment the bold bright pink and keep the look season appropriate too. A patterned shirt can enhance or change an entire outfit and makes for a great inexpensive option when looking to invest in new pieces.
Accessories are likely to give this look the finish you want to achieve, so pay careful attention and select on-trend pieces to compliment your look.
I opted to team this Kate Spade mini cross body bag with my look, as the neutral soft pink colour of the bag and flower detail kept my look on-trend for Spring.
Next I finished the look off with a pair of black patent pumps. As the weather gets warmer then you can introduce sandals/wedges however while its still technically Winter the pumps made for a great option and gave the look a very classy edge.
The next time your looking to make a statement why not think pink!
