Blazing Success

It’s the unofficial look that has dominated street style blogs and magazines for countless seasons with no expiration date in sight. Simply new each season (with the exception of a few variations), the off-duty look still boasts a massive appeal which many fashionistas strive to achieve.

Still one of the most ‘grammable’ looks, there is little effort required in putting this outfit together, yet just pay important enough attention to the small details! Keep reading on for how to put your own uniform look together.

When recreating your own version of street uniform it helps to break down the look you want to achieve and determine which pieces are going to work the extra mile. In this week’s look, I have opted to incorporate a black military style blazer.

A blazer speaks volumes alone and when incorporated into a street style look, the results are effortless! To choose the right blazer, it’s crucial to opt for a certain kind that is casual yet at the same time has a smart finish.

This cropped military blazer that I am wearing is available from (Dotti), it features button detailing and textured fabric (polyester). The gold button provides that ‘uniform’ identification and are also a feature of the look.

The soft fabric of this blazer makes it incredibly easy to wear and unlike a corporate blazer, it works in with the street look.Next, opt to team a white or grey graphic print tee underneath the blazer. This grey tee that I am wearing is available from Decjuba. With a great selection of street inspired pieces and countless print tees, Decjuba is a great one stop shop for all your off duty needs.

Team a pair of distressed denim shorts with your look to bring everything together. When putting this look together you can either opt for jeans or shorts.

I like the edge that shorts have and give to the look however if its cooler weather than jeans are also a great option, in specific boyfriend jeans are perfect for this look.Finish off the off-duty uniform look by teaming a pair of biker boots with your look.

As its Winter, these black ankle biker boots (from Witchery) were the best choice and keeps the look casual and still remaining effortless. Biker boots add edge and give the look a strong finish.

Also add your favourite bag and sunglasses to complete the look. When dressing off duty its often a matter of digging deep into your wardrobe and pulling out staples that when put together complete or form a uniform.
