Fuchsia Forecast

Up your fashion game this Winter by injecting some bold colour into your wardrobe for an unexpected twist. Fuchsia pink might be the last colour that comes to mind when we refer to a ‘Winter colour palette’, however the Winter ’19 season is all about embracing the bold hues and paying attention to the forecast.

In this week’s blog post, I’ve put together an effortless outfit to show just how easy it is to introduce fuchsia pink into your wardrobe.

Firstly, if you are like me and naturally reach for the blacks and greys in Winter then it will take a moment to wrap your head around the idea of embracing something as bright as pink. However, what can’t be denied is the level of excitement and fun, wearing something so vibrant and eye-catching can be in the middle of Winter.

Bright colours often bring an element of fun and flirty to an outfit, the boldness of fuchsia pink has the ability to win over  even the hardcore minimalists. To recreate this chic, effortless outfit start by choosing a design that you can work easily into your wardrobe.

This wrap blouse that I am wearing is available from Bardot and features a deep V-neckline and cross over front. It has voluminous sleeves with elasticated cuffs, cropped body with self-tie waist. The light-weight fabric (100%% polyester) makes it incredibly comfortable to wear and offers a satin look finish.

When it comes to pairing bottoms with the shirt, I opted to add a touch of edge to the super feminine design and put these light-wash denim jogger style jeans (from Decjuba)

The effortless vibe of the jean was a great addition as it dresses down the shirt, making it more versatile to wear to a multitude of occasions. Of course you can opt to dress this piece up by teaming a white wide leg pant for a polished look, or a pair of black high-waisted pants will also look great.

While the look is slightly more casual due to the relaxed jean, I opted to introduce more accessories to bring everything together. Right now I am loving the hair pin trend, its great for adding interest to already long hair, (the hair pins I am wearing are available from Mimco).

Next I teamd this DKNY cross-body bag with the look, the light pink straps on the bag kept the look light and bright without being over the top. The next time you want to add some colour or looking for something different in your wardrobe, think pink!
