It’s come, gone, returned and has since been labelled one of the hottest trends of the Autumn/Winter 19’ season…one thing’s for sure there’s no escaping leopard print!
Scroll through Insta or flick the pages of Vogue and splashes of leopard print will meet your eyes, from over the top faux fur coats to scarfs and everything in between, it’s time to embrace leopard!
In this week’s blogpost, I’ve dipped my toes in this iconic print trend and put together a chic look just in time for the cooler weather. Leopard print might not be for the faint hearted, yet every single woman is likely to recall a time in her life when she owned a piece of this iconic print.
This season I decided to road test how leopard print looks in 2019 and put together a uniform look that is likely to stand the test of time, this season.
Looking straight to boutiques such as H & M is a good starting point and very economical when it comes to embracing up to the minute trends. The fact is we have no idea if we will be wearing leopard print again next season, so the option to be ahead of the fashion pack for a fraction of the price is all too tempting!
These leopard print jeggings I am wearing are available from H & M online and boutiques, they retail for $30. The stretchy fabric actually works surprisingly well with the print and allows for an easier fit, rather than a rigid denim jean.
For a cosy, up to the minute Winter outfit, I opted to team this existing faur fur cropped jacket in my wardrobe with the leopard print pants. Here is the thing with leopard print, you can do whatever you please with looks and it will always work in your favour.
This look I created is a fairly uniform option however if you want to step out of your comfort zone then opt for a white print tee with either a denim jacket or leather jacket for a weekend look.
Leopard print will do a lot of the work for you when it comes to outfits, which helps to take a lot of the guess work out of styling this bold print. To bring this look together pay careful attention to your accessories and use them to your advantage.
These open-toed boots elevate this outfit and enforce an edgier look which is exactly what I wanted to achieve. To add a casual twist, try teaming white sneakers with the jeans for ultimate street style.
Team a tan bag with your outfit and opt for a pair of statement sunglasses for extra attitude. As I said before, leopard teamed with black is a uniform, however you can do whatever you like with it to step out of the boundaries. For now I’ll be keeping this combination on repeat.
