Style Me-Off Duty

The whole model off duty vibe never fails to appeal and the Spring 18’ season is no exception. Why not turn to this faithful combination and pair your favourite boyfriend jeans with a low-heeled sandal and comfiest print tee and then drape a jacket across your shoulders. Everyone will probably think you’re a model just by association.

In this week’s post, I’ve put together a look that is a bit masculine, a bit undone yet very stylish at the same time.At their core, the boyfriend jean is ultimately a masculine-inspired trend. After all, they’re literally named after the special man in your life! So why not take a unique approach and team your distressed denim jeans with a cropped blazer and some splashes of gold accessories for maximum impact.

In order to achieve up-to the minute style, I selected this pair of distressed boyfriend jeans (available from Bardot) as my starting point. I love the distressed look and they make a great companion for teaming print-tees, which maintains a balance with the look.

This particular pair of boyfriend jeans that I am wearing are very comfortable and sit just above the waist. Look to your existing denim in your wardrobe and if you don’t already own a pair of boyfriend styles jeans, then I suggest investing in a pair as they can provides so much versatility to your wardrobe.

Next team a print tee underneath your blazer for an infusion of street style. Print tees are great for making a subtle statement and work best teamed underneath jackets for extra impact.

This tee that I am wearing is available from Forever new, if you’re going to be wearing white or cream blazer aim for a grey tee because it will keep the look lighter and more appropriate for spring.

Complete this chic iconic street style look by teaming a blazer with the tee and jeans. Now, traditionally a boyfriend blazer will have buttons and a collar, however with this one I am wearing is a cropped blazer with flared sleeves. I opted for this particular style of blazer just so the look could be kept slightly more casual and practical.

Sometimes the look of a formal blazer can be harder to work into a look or your wardrobe, however this chic cropped piece was the ideal finish for the outfit.Accessories will play quite a big part in this look, so be sure to opt for a statement bag.

I opted for this mini bucket bag (available from Bardot). The gold chain helped to contrast with the detail of the glitter writing on the top and added an element of edge to the outfit. Pair some bangles on each wrist. Choose your favourite pair of low-heeled sandals as well as your classic aviator shades and your look is complete!

  1. Such a cute look Natalie!! I love the boyfriend jeans, and the distressed look adds something to them. the top goes so well with them and the blazer. The bag is very cute too. So how many modelling agencies stopped YOU as you were walking around? Take care Dear, Terri xo.
